SONIC HEDGEHOG
by Helena Romppanen, Minja Mertanen & Senja Korvensiipi
SONIC HEDGEHOG performance takes shape in a flow of change and investigates the temporal extension of the body-mind continuum through slow movement and sonic metamorphoses in space. The movement that arises from the internal rhythms of the body, the tense interaction that progresses in the continuum of breathing; alternately succumbing to and directed against gravity, takes us to embryology, developmental movement patterns, and issues of interconnectedness.
SONIC HEDGEHOG on teos, joka muotoutuu muutoksen virrassa, havainnoi keho-mielen ajallista ulottumista tilaan hitaan liikkeen ja äänellisten, musiikissa tapahtuvien metamorfoosien kautta. Kehon sisäisistä rytmeistä nouseva liike, hengityksen jatkumossa etenevä, vuoroin painovoimalle antautuva ja sitä vastaan ohjautuva jännitteinen vuorovaikutus vie meidät embryologian, kehityksellisten liikemallien ja vuorovaikutuksellisten kysymysten äärelle.
