This work begun from a feeling of total worthlessness, which was followed by big lust. I went to explore how I could channel these extreme emotions into physical movements. When I usually do this, only much later I realize how my body work and expressions have changed me.

​

Hessu Wennerstrand does performances and artworks from Ikebana to contemporary art installations. Kaino Wennerstrand is an artist and music producer. Together they form a duo titled Biitsi. Their work ‘Silver Medal’ was recently on display as part of Helsinki City Theater’s special program.

 

 

Teokseni lähti liikkeelle totaalisesta arvottomuuden tunteesta, jota seurasi suunnaton himo. Aloin kokeilla näiden äärimmäisten tunteiden muuntamista liikekieleksi. Aiemmin kun olen tehnyt niin, olen vasta pitkän ajan jälkeen käsittänyt miten tekemäni liikeharjoitteet ovat muuttaneet minua.

Heidi Wennerstrand tekee esityksiä ja taideteoksia Ikebana-asetelmista installaatioihin.

Kaino Wennerstand on taiteilija ja musiikintekijä. He muodostavat yhdessä Biitsi-duon, jolta nähtiin juuri Hopeasija-teos Helsingin kaupunginteatterin erikoisohjelmistossa.
